All the practices of the BuQi® system contribute to the same goal: to balance the energy of the body after having eliminated the perverse Qi, to find the harmony of the body and the spirit.

The BuQi® System

It comes from traditional Chinese medicine, and was developed by Doctor Shen HongXun, to fight against contemporary health and stress problems. The exercises of this system come from the Chinese Buddhist tradition, Taoism, Taijiquan and the research of Doctor Shen Hongxun, founder of the BuQi® system.

It starts from the theory according to which pathogenic factors, called Binqi by the Chinese, accumulate in the body and particularly in the articular and intervertebral spaces, affect the circulation in the energy channels and reach the organs, causing diseases in the long run. .

The BuQi® system will therefore focus on both the correction of posture and the elimination of Binqi, on the physical and emotional level, through work on the Dantian (vital energy center, Qi, among the Chinese) and the activation of spontaneous movements of the body, which help to open blocked areas and eliminate Binqi.

Doctor Shen HongXun develops exercises (daoyin) whose function is to bring out the BinQi while developing the internal energy of practitioners. These exercises aim to put in order and balance (BU) the energy (QI) of the students.

The origin of the research:

The findings of Dr. Shen Hongxun on the benefits of practicing basic postures of Taijiquan with the elderly are at the origin of this System. The external and visible manifestations of the circulation of energy lead him to deepen different aspects, in particular the positive effects of lengthening the spine and relaxing the muscles with the circulation of energy.
These observations also confirmed reflections that the teaching of his masters, his personal experience and his research in ancient books had already given rise to.

The concept of Qi and BinQi
Dr. Shen relies on the concept of Qi (energy of the body's vital processes) and BinQi, formerly called BingQi, which designates sick Qi. These energy blockages (BinQi) cause disorders, pain and even illness. The role of Qi is to fight diseases and allow the body to regain health, conceived as a balance of energies. BinQi must be eliminated. Acupuncture is a traditional way to set these energies in motion, but everyone can act thanks to practices. All the practices of the BuQi® System contribute to this goal: Taijiwuxigong, Taiji 37, Taiji 13, Daoyin of the E-Mei Mountain , daoyin Yi Yin Jing…

For Dr. Shen Hongxun, action must be taken on several levels:

Break the double vicious circle of posture and emotions:
Doctor Shen Hongxun also understands that the blockages are not only physical, but affective, emotional. He completes his approach by conceiving the theory of the double vicious circle which considers physical and emotional blockages as consequences of poor circulation of energy, due to poor posture and/or stress.
For Doctor Shen, a factor of the diseases is the contraction and narrowing of the intervertebral spaces, impairing the circulation of fluids and causing energy blockages, affecting the functioning of the organs. This is the vicious circle of physical posture.
The other factor is emotional, and in this sense, Doctor Shen takes into account the emotions, feelings of sadness, anger, stress, which affect both the mind and the body. It is the vicious circle of emotions.
We must therefore break this double circle.

The spontaneous movement

is a tool at the service of everyone to break the double vicious circle. Indeed, Doctor Shen, noting the positive results obtained with his patients through spontaneous movement exercises, develops his approach to this practice. He uses a particular posture to put the body in contact with the force of the Earth and to activate the dantian. The lower dantian is the center of everyone's life energy in the Chinese tradition. The force of the Earth is transmitted to the Dantian, vibrations occur. We speak of induced spontaneous movement, which distinguishes it from the spontaneous movements of the human body such as the blinking of the eyelids for example. Their function is to activate the dantian (energy center of the body), to expel the BinQi, but also to allow the body and the mind to relax.

the vibratory force:

Energy being a vibratory force, the goal is therefore to develop it, and to give it a direction. Thus, the second principle of the Chinese tradition of health applied in the BuQi® system is that of the opening of the meridians and channels. Thanks to the circulation of energy in the meridians and channels, the body can free itself from BinQi. Because another consequence of the practice of the exercises of this system is to open the intervertebral spaces and the different joints of the body, where the BinQi comes to block, causing pain and, in the long run, diseases.

Le Doctor Shen thus develops a complete system, and uses his experience in the field of health to help patients with different pathologies. The BuQi® aims to find the causes at the level of the double vicious circle, to eliminate the blockages, and to put the energy back into circulation.

Le Doctor Shen Hongxun developed the care system BuQi® et BuQi®Tuina, and created or transmitted the different types of BuQi® exercises to allow everyone to put these principles into practice: Taijiwuxigong, Taiji 37, daoyin YiJin Jing. He has taken up the tradition of the internal energy arts in the service of his system. (Sacred Mountain Taijiquan, Daoyin of E-Mei Mountain…) . Today his daughter Master Shenjin, who assisted him in this work of reflection and development of practices, continues to transmit the entire System and completes it (Taiji 13).
